It was our absolute pleasure and delight to be a part of creating this simply stunning day for Kristy and Trent, and it will always be remembered in our hearts as something that dreams are made of…

With a fabulous team of suppliers, this amazingly decadent day was brought to life. The striking jacaranda tree was in full bloom, nestled within the grounds of Spicers Clovelly Estate, Mondo Floral Designs created an abundance of bright lush florals that waded amongst the shimmers of gold decor and Studio Impressions captured every intimate moment that would ultimately tell the story of these two lovebirds.

Beautifully romantic and glazed with opulence, Kristy and Trent’s hinterland wedding was a lush soiree that encompassed, amongst many other beautiful aspects, true love.

This wedding was one absolute joy fest! Kristie and Mitchell were childhood friends and sweethearts; they are both hippies at heart and wished for a bohemian inspired celebration set amongst gorgeous lush gardens – and that is exactly what they got!

A simple yet humble ceremony design overlooked the breathtaking valley below. That backdrop was to be the main focus and was complimented by simple bench style seating and buckets of handpicked wildflower. A wine barrel became the registry table and with the guests gathering in closely the ceremony had a beautiful earthy feel and a real intimate vibe.

Two gorgeous tipis under a giant tree greeted guests and set the tone of the event. It was the perfect backdrop for the gypsy inspired, festival style reception that followed. Our styling design included luxurious chesterfield lounges, wine barrels, high bars, stacked pallets with piles of Moroccan ottomans, textural rugs, daybeds and fireplaces. Flowers spilled from the ceiling, draped over coffee tables and cascaded down posts giving the design a wild and free spirited feel!

An amazing dessert bar under a sea of twinkling lights finished the celebrations. It was created from layers of Moroccan rugs, reindeer hides, succulents, copper accents, a wine barrel table and an incredible display of irresistible desserts!

We just love thank you notes! These beautiful words are from the bride herself…

“How do I EVER say thank you – yesterday looked absolutely incredible! And that Pavilion- it was incredible. The teepees and the styling were beyond what I could ever imagine. I am so incredibly grateful” – Kristie Coleborn.

Lucinda met Angus during a whirlwind trip to Queensland and together they journeyed to London to pursue their legal careers.Overlooking the London skyline, on Primrose Hill, Angus created a romantic picnic setting where he would ask Lucinda to be his forever.

Nestled in the serene landscape of Montville, Spicers Clovelly Estate was the setting for an impeccably timeless soiree; elegant, country-inspired and classic. The beginning of a true love story. It was a perfect spring afternoon, when Lucinda and Angus became ‘Mr and Mrs’ in front of over one hundred guests.

The ceremony encapsulated the true essence of romance with soft muslin draping, sparkling crystal chandeliers and a lush petal aisle. The bride wore a stunning Vera Wang gown that trailed softly behind her as she walked through the abundance of petals to meet her groom. The couple made their forever promises under a rich timber arch that was draped with whimsical greenery and splashes of ivory floral.

This stunning event was draped in classic glamour with a hint of soft country elegance. The colour palette was created with a base of antique white, ivory and cream, with hints of pastel pink, blush and delicate rose, with accents of country linen and elements of distinct black to tie in with this timeless design.

The garden party introduced charming sophistication with the use of our leather chesterfield couches, beige Tiffany ottomans and timber coffee table, as well as white high bars and stools.

An evident energy of exuberance was unforgettable amongst guests as the afternoon rolled into a sparkling evening.

Sitting amongst the lush gardens of the estate, the reception took place in a clear marquee on the plateau in front of the main house, overlooking the rolling hinterland landscape. The night revelled in a sumptuous degustation dinner, as guests sat beneath twinkling fairy lights that laced the ceiling of the marquee. Three long tables were delicately detailed with glass taper and pillar candlesticks and lush floral creations clustered in glass and brass vessels.

The night continued with the sweet indulgence of wedding cake and hours of dancing.

We absolutely loved being a part of Lucinda and Angus’ special day…it truly was a wedding that will continue to express its romantic and timeless elegance for many years to come!

Soak up this wildly romantic celebration, overflowing with elegant, effortless beauty…

One peek at Ashleigh & Scott and the romance is palpable! Their absurdly gorgeous celebration at Spicer’s Clovelly Estate in the green hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, was filled to the brim with beautiful details…

It was a tale of two sweethearts and bucketloads of country vintage elegance, when Ashleigh & Scott tied the knot in glorious Montville. With a base colour palette of simple white, ivory, nude, cream & beige we added subtle touches of apricot and soft pinks and then brought it a stronger rose pink for a big kiss of romance! This was all set off perfectly with greenery in shades of olive, sage and soft grey to complete the country feel. Ashleigh & Scott pictured a relaxed day and wanted their guests to feel much love, laughter and entertainment along the way…

The whole day was captured on film by the creative souls at Lester & May – enjoy a peek into this tale of timeless romance by clicking here.

As guests entered Spicers Clovelly Estate, they were greeted with a hand-drawn blackboard before moving across the manicured lawn to the gracious Jacaranda tree. They followed a delicate trail of scented rosebuds and sweet flowers hung from shepherds hooks, and were seated on French bistro chairs, ready for the Bride’s entrance.

“We’ll grow old together And this love will never This old love will never die”

~ Lior

The rustic altar was crowned with a handmade lace canopy, and draped in glorious blooms. After the beautiful ceremony, the new “Mr & Mrs” were whisked off for some incredible photos while the guests were treated to an afternoon garden party soiree.

With the sweet sounds of live music drifting in the breeze, guests mingled in the dappled afternoon sunlight with drinks, canapes, croquet and boules. They relaxed on our Provence lounge and armchairs, Tiffany ottoman and East Hampton high bar stools, amongst manicured gardens. Soft floral cushions were scattered about, and tied in perfectly with the lush floral arrangements.

The Library Deck, such a perfect space for a relaxed yet chic reception. With long tables swathed in crisp white linen, the elegant black Hamptons chairs and vintage candelabras formed a beautiful contrast, along with soft rustic touches such as hand-painted timber table numbers.

The florals were a fragrant blend of vintage blooms, such as David Austin roses, lisianthus, tulips, hyacinths, cottage roses, stocks and gardenia, and were arranged in an eclectic selection of crystal and metallic vases. As night fell, the candles blazed golden and the effect was absolutely magical.

Our favourite little suitcase provided the perfect spot to pop cards, and the vintage typewriter gave guests an enjoyable yet nostalgic experience as they tapped out their well wishes for the guest book.

The exquisite cake was perfectly in keeping with the theme of elegance and romance, with three perfect tiers in citrus and white chocolate mudcake. The sweet treats continued, as later in the evening Scott’s grandmother’s homemade Italian biscuits were served with coffee. And our lovebirds flew away to Europe for a magical honeymoon, but that is another story altogether! But yes they did live happily ever after! xo

Without a doubt, this letter that we received from Ashleigh & Scott was one of the most heartfelt, gorgeous letters we have ever received:

“Dear Trudy,

We are back from our honeymoon after having the best trip, full of new experiences and lots of amazing food. The blow of returning to reality was however softened by the suspense of knowing that we had a viewing of our wedding pictures with Studio Impressions on our return.

It was so beautiful to sit there yesterday and watch the day unfold through Adam’s lens. There were so many pictures that I did not know he would of been able to capture, because I don’t even remember him being in the room at the time. His pictures are absolutely stunning and what is truly special is that as we looked at each photo I could remember, and see, the emotion of that moment.

What also struck me, was just how perfect the styling was. We have recieved so many compliments on not only the beautiful decor but also the flow of the day. Looking through the photos, the way you styled the venue is absolutely beautiful – your attention to detail is second to none and this shows through the photos. You certainly have some amazing pieces, and as you know the chandelier is my favorite – wait until you see the pictures, just stunning!

Trudy, I don’t really know how to put into words how grateful both Scott and I are for everything you did for us both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. You answered every email with enthusiasm and direction and helped me us to make many decisions whilst doing so in a way that made us feel we had done it all on our own. Your presence at our wedding was so calming which allowed me to relax and just enjoy the day. You are highly professional, reassuring, unobtrusive and it truly felt like you were just one of my friends there on the day.

Obviously weddings are expensive and for many a wedding planner or stylist would not be within budget. For us, it was a decision that we had to consider but I can honestly say that for the level of service you provide, that you are unbelievable value for money.

Ashleigh & Scott”

Thank you for allowing us to share in your wondrous day, you sweet lovebirds! xo

It was a dreamily sun-dappled afternoon in late Spring, when two lovebirds shared their first kiss as Mr and Mrs under the branches of a beautiful Jacaranda tree…

Oh, ain’t love grand! Dayna & Philip are one of those ‘meant to be’ couples and we knew from the moment we began planning their dream day, that this was going to be one special wedding. They pictured an intimate and elegant celebration, at the stunning French-inspired Spicers Clovelly Estate, with a heartfelt ceremony and surrounded by those they love.

It was a day of understated elegance, a glamorous garden party in the grounds of the Estate. The colour palette was fresh and modern, lots of white with greenery, some unexpected pops of colour (like the bride’s divine bouquet of plump coral peonies) and luxe touches of black and metallics.

Pretty, pretty and more pretty! The flowergirls Sophie & Ava were too sweet for words in their silver slippers and pale pink floral crowns. They gleefully scattered white rose petals across the manicured lawn, all the way to the majestic Jacaranda, which sheltered our lovebirds as they said “I Do”.

After enjoying Mojitos, champagne and canapes, guests entered the Library Deck, which was draped with ivory swags and mini exposed globes. Crisp white linen and black Hampton chairs coordinated beautifully with the stylish personalised menus and placecards.

Mondo Floral Designs captured the newlyweds vision perfectly with trailing greenery woven around the chandeliers, and simply gorgeous table arrangements of white Singapore orchids, white peonies, white Lisianthus, white hyppeastrums, succulents, figs, berries & tropical foliage. Pure white candles glowed in square glass vases, and as night fell the fairytale effect was enhanced by the thousands of tiny lights twined around the trees outside.

“I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map

And knew that somehow I could find my way back, then I heard your heart beating…”

Chloe and Jared’s soft, whimsical and elegant spring-time wedding took place at Spicer’s Clovelly Estate and was an absolute dream to style!

Chloe and Jared met in Canada while living and working during snow season, their love blossomed and a whirlwind of adventures followed! From travelling their way through Europe, to working on a private Yacht in the Mediterranean, this worldly couple returned to Australia to say their “I do’s” at a stunning private retreat in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

This French-Provincial luxury property was the perfect backdrop for this well-travelled couple. Set amongst the grand figs, blooming jacarandas and groves of magnolias and gardenias, this vintage garden party wedding with loads of old-world charm was a day not to be forgotten!

Steering away from tradition and formalities, Chloe wore a gorgeous blush pink gown by Jennifer Gifford, while her bridesmaids wore white.

Chloe & Jared also opted to have a “first look” at one another prior to day beginning. Jared waited ever so patiently on the porch to get his first glimpse of his beautiful bride! Even so, his expression later as he watched Chloe walk towards him under the magnificent blooming Jacarand was priceless.

They exchanged vows under the stunning Jacaranda, with petals drifting softly down. Our rustic crystal chandelier hung beside them, with guests seated on black Hampton chairs, each featuring a vintage floral cushion, fan and name tag. A champagne toast kicked off the afternoons celebrations!

Following the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed a picnic while their guests enjoyed an extended cocktail hour! This was a lovely way for the bride and groom to unwind and spend some precious time with those dearest.

Meanwhile, guests got to soak up a perfect afternoon sipping on cocktails and devouring delectable canapés!

Surrounded by cigar leather chesterfield sofas, driftwood furniture, provincial armchairs and vintage ottomans, guests were treated to a charming garden party.

Styling details included tapered candelabras covered in dripping wax, wooden signs with personalised messages, hanging tea lights, floral throw cushions and an antique typewriter for love notes to the bride and groom.

The colour palette had a base of white, ivory, cream and beige with soft touches of blush pink and rose. Complimented by soft green foliage, rich timbers, leathers and hints of black, this contemporary fusion of old-world charm and modern elegance was just beautiful.

The joyfest continued into the night with lots of laughter, smiles, hugs and kisses!

This fabulous day was brought together with an amazing array of vendors including Spicer’s Clovelly Estate, Malia Johnson Photography, Mondo Floral Designs (Bouquets & Buttonholes), Big Love Weddings, The Paper Flowers, Jennifer Gifford Designs and Lovebird Weddings.

This wedding was also featured on Style Me Pretty…

“Love you more” said Eileen during her vows, “That’s not possible” Nick responded with the most infectious laugh that tugged on everyone’s heart strings during a truly warming ceremony.

This smitten couple dreamt of a vintage wedding with country charm and we couldn’t think of a better place to bring it to life than the amazing Maleny Manor. Rich in heritage, character and antique decor the Manor is nestled in its own private hinterland oasis boasting the most incredible views and manicured grounds; this venue really was the perfect backdrop for their special day!

Nick kept time with his engraved pocket watch, “Meet you at 3.30pm, Maleny Manor”.

The ceremony took place on the grassed plateau that overlooks the stunning valley below. The canopy was handmade from doilies and fabrics collected and sewn together by the bride’s grandmother, a special touch on the day and now a lifelong gift that will give the couple many treasured memories when brought out for picnics and family events. To complete the canopy, some super sweet trailing florals added a pop of colour, freshness and romance!

The down-to-earth ceremony styling included Lovebird Wedding’s mix and match ceremony chairs, bamboo canopy, peeling paint registry table, vintage parasols and fedoras finished with a soft rose petal aisle, chair posies and petal cones.

As the ceremony concluded, guests helped themselves to a DIY punch bar styled using our crystal cut drink dispenser and punch bowls with an array of vintage drinking vessels – from champagne coupes and mason jars to tea cups and saucers! The floral arrangements were also showcased in an eclectic range of vessels including cow tins, jars and twine tied vases. A small lounge area was set up under the pavilion for those wishing to relax in the shade. Oh how perfect…a place to rest, and drink (punchy) tea!

Our large floral board with framed table seating greeted the guests as they entered the reception. Eileen’s soft pastel colour palette of creams, dusty pinks, buttery yellows, and peaches with a hint of greenery, complimented our soft, layered styling in the reception so well. Each table featured a collection of pastel table cloths and doilies for texture, vintage embroidered napkins and side plates, book table numbers, jam jar thank you gifts and tall taper candlesticks for height and soft light. There really was layer upon layer of detail on the tables creating a real feast for the eyes!

“Thank you again for making our dream wedding come to life! Everything was perfect! We wish we had more time to walk around on the day and take it all in, it just went too quickly,” said Eileen after her wedding day.

Treasured words from a happy bride really make our hearts sing! It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your wedding day and we wish you a wonderful life together!

“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.” Anonymous

Brigitta’s beautiful smile speaks a thousand words… enjoy this lovely little tale of two lovebirds who brought the sunshine to a rainy day in the Hinterland….

Creating a bespoke wedding design always begins with colour. Colour is so incredibly individual, and it is always exciting to work with a new palette. Brigitta and Glen decided upon classic whites layered with lilac, lavender and eggplant, with pops of vintage jade and soft pastel green.

Our lovebirds opted for a chic vintage wedding, full of romance and joy… so the elegant Maleny Manor was the perfect venue to host their celebrations. The intimate ceremony took place in the Pavilion, with spectacular views over the rolling hills to the ocean.

A magical ceremony archway of twisted dodder vine and luscious florals in soft greens and purples was created by Mondo Floral designs, and complemented the sweet aisle decorations.

Despite a tiny bit of rain, amazing photographer Calli B captured these gorgeous images in the manicured grounds of Maleny Manor.

A vintage garden party was designed to create a relaxing and intimate area for their guests to enjoy canapés and drinks, and a game of croquet. Small jars and vases of beautiful flowers were scattered about, along with piles of vintage books, and tea light candles, to create a soft glow as the sun set over the valley.

The vintage styling was carried through into their reception, with the addition of lace doilies and candelabras, mismatched china and old books used as table numbers.

We adore this: Please ‘leaf’ your fingerprint and sign your name on our guest book tree.

Thank you for sharing your day with us Brigitta & Glen x

Jane and Ben have such a great love story. Two people who collided once, so briefly… and then ran into each other in a completely different country…and of course, fell in love!

We met in London about 10 years ago by chance. I sat next to his friend on a flight while on my way to do an internship on my uni summer break. Ben was living there at the time. I ended up chatting with his friend and going out with their group for a few nights out while I was in town. I then left London and went about my life, keeping in touch with none of them. I moved to HK in 2007 and after just a couple of weeks I ran smack bang into ben and realised it was that guy from London from about 6 years earlier. We ended up getting together and the rest is history“, says Jane.

They are such a beautiful couple, in every way. Generous, fun-loving, stylish and sincere.

Jane had so many fantastic ideas for her wedding, and every detail was carefully decided upon…I love Jane’s creative energy. And I was absolutely blown away when Ben took the microphone during late-night dancing and actually rapped a song out.

They chose Spicers Clovelly Estate for both their ceremony and reception, with the ceremony being held on the Library Deck, followed by canapes on the lawn and a sit-down dinner in a marquee on the Jacaranda plateau.

Planned and Styled by Lovebird Weddings, and shot by the talented Marcus Bell and Adam Finch of Studio Impressions.

Enjoy! Tx

First came the invitations, made by the Bride, out of vintage books sourced by her mother…the Romeo & Juliet book was a family antique.

The floral designs created by Terrianne of Mondo Floral Designs…a beautiful mix of white open bloom David Austin roses, opening white double tulips, a few blooms of antique roses, cream miniature spray rose blooms, white sholtzia flowering filler, white gypsophila. Touch of dusty miller.

The ceremony was created with mix & match vintage furniture pieces, and the focal point, a lovely vintage hand-made canopy finished with cascading blooms.

Being Autumn, Spicers Clovelly had a perfect rusty orange and green backdrop…

Marcus took the Bride & Groom off alone to Maleny for their bridal photos…all I can say is wow! These images are so incredible…

The reception was held under a stunning clear marquee by Events in Tents…they created this incredible draping fairy light feature, which was just so romantic, combined with hanging chandeliers. The marquee was set up with 3 long tables of 45 guests per table. Mix and match natural wooden chairs were teamed with crystal vases of florals, vintage book table numbers and French taper candles.

The cake was designed by Cake Designs…white mud raspberry and fruit cake, finished with ivory sugar icing.

The quality of food and wine was imperitive to Jane & Ben…Ocean Trout and Duck Confit were served for Entree, Lamb Shoulder and Roasted Snapper for main, followed by a stand up selection of dessert canapes.

The Rush Band got the party started with a 5-piece late-night set, which started with the first dance “Islands in the Stream” and got really crazy fun as the night climaxed with Ben’s own rap…if you want to get up and dance…The Rush Band are dynamic, fun and high energy…just brilliant!
