This colourful cocktail style wedding was a truly dreamy day! There may have been a few happy tears from the groom as his gorgeous bride walked the aisle that made everyone’s heart melt but there sure were plenty of smiles at this whimsical seaside soiree too!

The rich Autumn colour palette saw an amazing array of florals trail whimsically over our bamboo altar, perfectly framing the pristine beach behind and creating a magical place to exchange vows. The ceremony design also included our white hampton chairs, picnic rugs for the kids, a wooden refreshments stand, cute signage and lawn games. Creating a fun, fresh and relaxed atmosphere.

Then it was party time at the cocktail style reception! Losing the traditional formalities, our bride and groom wanted to create one big, memorable celebration. With the most magical sunset in the background, we filled the venue with lots of inviting lounge areas, low set tables, high bars, bench style seating, plenty of ottomans and soft flickering candle lights. Incredible flowers on masse adorned every flat surface in the room with the most amazing feature floral installation taking centre stage. All these elements came together to create a really gorgeous wedding day – made sweeter by a night of good food and dancing! At the end of the evening, Twig & Grace handpicked and wrapped every flower into bouquets for each guest to take home – a very special touch.

We just love thank you notes! These beautiful words are from the bride herself “A huge thank you to you and your team for doing such an amazing job. Hidden Grove and Bistro C looked just amazing. It was so well done.” – Nicole Smith

It was so much fun planning and styling the wedding of these two lovebirds. Both have a cracker of a sense of humour, so I knew from our first meeting that this was going to be one fun day.

Arriving at Hidden Grove by moke, Jillian & her bridesmaid set the tone of this fun seaside soiree. Jillian & Brant chose a neutral colour palette of white, ivory, beige and greenery which flowed through the amazing floral designs created by Mondo Floral Designs. Their ceremony featured a bamboo arch canopy  with floating muslin and crisp white East Hampton chairs, with a wooden entry sign “with my whole heart, for my whole life”.

Back at the reception, a glamorous garden party welcomed guests, where chefs shucked fresh oysters and the French champagne flowed. A crystal chandelier was placed in the pandanus tree over a linen chesterfield lounge, and on the terrace we created a bespoke hand-written backdrop to pay respect to a much loved family member – this being later given to the bride & groom to have mounted as a piece of art at home.

Tables were adorned with long ivory macramé runners and crystal vases of flowers and each place tag was created from kraft card featuring a little cut out heart…so cute!

Vibrant, light and fresh with a springtime vibe was our brief from these high school sweethearts! Inseparable from 16, this creative couple wished for a loved up, vintage garden party by the sea!

A crisp white base to their colour palette meant the florals in rich tangerines, apricots, corals and pretty pinks added a wonderful bright pop to the neutral landscape! Combined with blush pink bridesmaids, grey suits, white sand underfoot, untamed trees and rolling blue waves, this was one fun, relaxed and memorable coastal wedding!

Guests were greeted to the ceremony by hand painted timber signs and enjoyed ice cold waters from wooden buckets. Our white Hampton chairs each with a bright floral cushion formed the guest seating with a natural woven jute runner leading the way to the altar.

Our muslin canopy caught the wind, floating romantically in the breeze with a whimsical floral piece cascading over one corner. The registry featured a peeling paint table, wooden “mr” & “mrs” signs, vintage books and a super cute scrabble detail spelling “Henry loves Tara”.

The bridal party had a blast posing for photos in front of the most incredible sunset on Noosa’s main beachfront, a magically memorable afternoon for these two lovebirds!

Meanwhile, guests were treated to a boat cruise up the idyllic Noosa river before disembarking at the front of the secluded Noosa Waterfront restaurant. A modern Italian dining spot boasting a private grassy canapé area and water views, this intimate reception venue has the perfect blank canvas to dress!

White clothed tables and chairs were the perfect base for the soft textured styling of the reception. Our beige linen runners added a touch of coastal with ivory lace strips delicately layered over the top. Wooden table numbers helped guests find their seat, with eclectic glass tea lights giving a romantic glow!

Meandering down the centre of the tables were gorgeous florals in mix and match tarnished vessels that had a lovely ‘just picked’ feel about them. And who can resist this wedding cake wrapped in the prettiest flower garland!

Festivities continued under exposed globes, with guests enjoyed our vintage inspired photobooth with a suitcase prop box filled with handmade lips & moustaches, fedoras, clutch bags and wigs!

This fun-filled celebration was captured by Karen Buckle Photography, styled by Lovebird Weddings, florals by Green & Bloom, cake by Cake Designs and all took place at the beautiful Noosa Waterfront restaurant.

Look at that smile – we just love this girl! Meet Jacinta, and her handsome beau David. Over the years we’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Jacinta (in her professional guise as Coastal Style Mobile Hairdressing) and on this day it was unbelievably wonderful to style her very own “I do’s”!

The lush green Noosa Botanic Gardens were the perfect setting for the pretty bohemian celebration that Jacinta & David had in mind, with rolling green lawns, winding paths and majestic trees. The day was to encapsulate these two lovebirds; relaxed, carefree, intimate, beautiful… and of course, joyously romantic! Adorable wooden signs such as “Happily Ever After” placed along the paths led guests right to the ceremony, where they found graceful Bentwood chairs, vases of stunning blooms atop simple tree stumps and a rustic registry table.

With true bohemian spirit, Jacinta chose a stunning non-traditional gown, with a lace bodice adorned with floral motifs and a divine overskirt of floating panels of chiffon and lace. She paired this perfectly with an intricately beaded headpiece and veil. Her three attendants were all radiant in sweet little pastel frocks, beach goddess hair and whimsical floral crowns.

Jacinta & David exchanged vows, rings and kisses under our beautiful dark timber altar, draped in soft white muslin and ravishing blooms, interwoven with tendrils of ivy and native greenery. The colour palette featured a base of clean white, ivory and soft soft pinks and peaches, with warm timbers, abundant greenery and splashes of divine deep pink.

Heavenly Blooms of Eumundi created all the spectacular, whimsical bouquets and arrangements, utilising lush florals grown organically on their own property…. both environmentally conscious AND gorgeous! We adored the punchy pops of fuschia nestled amongst pale pink, lilac and soft greens, a combination guaranteed to evoke love love love!

Jacinta’s boho inspired headpiece and veil, from Grace Loves Lace, featured a sheer French lace band embellished with silver thread and beading, and finished with vintage jewel and two-tier veil… so perfectly paired with her contemporary couture gown.

After the sweet ceremony it was off to the picturesque family property in Cooroy for a cocktail reception amongst the trees and beneath twinkling lights. Guests sipped punch and champagne and played bocce and horseshoes, while Jacinta & David took a few private moments to bask in their newlywed glow.

To echo the gorgeous country surrounds and to capture the vintage bohemian feel for our lovebirds, we popped eclectic rustic touches in unexpected places… a birdcage wishing well, tiny hearts, candles adorned with rope and wicker atop tree stumps and sweet posies on wine barrels.

Indulgent lounging areas were created by grouping beautiful sofas, eclectic chairs and bar arrangements across the lawns and inside the marquee, adorned with French lace tablecloths and lavish florals. This relaxed bohemian celebration was the perfect start to Jacinta & David’s journey as two of our favourite “Mr & Mrs” xo

“Love is the answer, at least for most of the questions in my heart… I’ll tell you one thing – it’s always better when we’re together” Jack Johnson, Better Together

“The whole day was amazing my cheeks were sore from smiling as soon as I woke up! I loved getting ready with my family and girlfriends, and then of course the most amazing moment was walking down the isle and seeing Dave for the first time with all the crazy butterflies going though my belly! Loved every minute of my day and was so thankful to all my amazing suppliers for making my dream wedding come true!!” Jacinta

A relaxed daytime soiree… rustic French vintage with a coastal twist… it was the ultimate way to celebrate the entwining of two loving families. Nikki & Steve serendipitously met through their sons, who were in the same class at school, and when Lovebird Weddings had their first consultation with them, it was clear that their wedding day was all about celebrating the two families coming together as one.

Their brief was to create a “relaxed and loving” day, and with a shared passion for the beach, and good food and wine, we can see why they chose Sails Noosa as their wedding venue, lapping up the stunning views over a lunchtime soiree.

The day began early, with Nikki, her mum, sister and friends, getting pampered with hair and makeup by Debb from Beauty on the Move. While on the other side of town, Steve got ready with his three sons… who were to be his proud groomsmen. Nikki was so sweet, and organised a surprise for the boys – getting picked up in a vintage Kombi from Deluxe Kombis!

Utilising the grassed lawn outside the restaurant, Nikki & Steve said their “I do’s” under a rustic wooden canopy draped in lace and indulgent florals which framed the ocean backdrop spectactularly.

Nikki walked up the aisle escorted by her son, Ben… to the gorgeous lyrics from “You & Me” by the Dave Matthews Band. We are still absolutely in love with Nikki’s gown, wth the softly floating train and rustic boho beading. Just stunning!

Mondo Floral Designs created the perfect cascading bouquet to complement Nikki’s gorgeous gown, softly unstructured and whimsical in design. It featured cream Sahara roses, apricot and ivory David Austin roses, white peonies, a touch of blue Sea Holly, magnolia foliage and trailing Jasmine foliage… absolutely divine.

To complete the ceremony design we suspended our French crystal chandelier from the Pandanus tree, and paired our driftwood registry table with timber Hampton chairs draped with lush floral swags.

To begin the reception celebrations, guests enjoyed Pimms cocktails and canapes on the terrace amongst Provence lounge settings and Bentwood high bars. The beauty was in the details, from old timber trunk coffee tables and handwritten blackboards, to vintage floral cushions and natural jute fibre rugs – so much lovely texture.

By bringing in our mixed collection of Bentwood, Hampton and cream bistro chairs, this was a great way to introduce a vintage element to the reception, whilst still feeling quite earthy and rustic. Three long tables plus a family table gave the reception an intimate and inclusive feel, which was important to Nikki and Steve.

On top of the white-clothed tables, lay our beige linen runners with an eclectic scatter of doilies, wooden table numbers, kraft paper menus and blackboard name tags. ‘Hand-picked’ styled florals in whites, creams, soft peaches and pale blues combined beautifully with berries, green foliage and trailing Jasmine, and were arranged in antique brass & crystal vases and French mason jars, which added an indulgent layer to the design.

Guests dined on exquisite cuisine at Sails, while enjoying views of Laguna Bay. The decadent, two-tiered wedding cake was designed by Cake Designs and included a bottom tier of chocolate mud, and top tier of passionfruit, both finished with a white chocolate ganache icing and decorated with pale apricot roses – so very pretty!

In mid afternoon, the relaxed celebration at Sails wrapped up, and we organised a small area at the Noosa Surf Club so the festivities could continue! Thank you for inviting us to share in your day Nikki and Steve, the heartfelt love you share was a joy to behold. xo

This wedding was one absolute joy fest! The sort of wedding where every moment is filled with smiles and unconditional love! From the super cute ‘First Look’ to the ring bearing furry friend, this wedding was seriously stunning! Every time we look at these amazing images from Luke Going Photography we just fall in love all over again!

We had the pleasure of styling this very intimate wedding affair for the gorgeous Amy and Chris. An absolutely beautiful, down to earth, loved up couple and seeing this day unfold and captured so truthfully saw us all shed a tear!

Amy and Chris were childhood friends and sweethearts; they wished for a bohemian-inspired celebration. The day began with a private ‘First Look’, with Chris waiting in sweet anticipation for his radiant bride to descend the steps to him.

Their earthy colour palette was set off with a lovely array of native and wild flower floral arrangements come together by Dezley from Twig and Grace. An untamed flower piece was woven beautifully over our timber and muslin draped canopy creating a magical place to exchange vows. We loved the bride’s gorgeous flower halo too!

Shoes here, vows there, love everywhere! A lovely way to greet guests and set the tone of the event, a statement that resonates so well with this super-relaxed and open-minded couple of ours. Guests watched the ceremony unfold from beneath a sea of exposed globes that added to the romance of the afternoon.

A special four legged man of the furry kind took pride in delivering the rings and the touching moments afterwards with the bride melted everyone’s hearts!

Held at the stunning Capriole Estate, a private hinterland property at the base of Eerwah Mountain, the day was shared with an amazing array of wildlife – from horses and shetland ponies to peacocks, chickens and guinea fowl. It was the perfect backdrop for this soulful couple that are so in tune with nature.

A vegan banquet took place inside the restored barn where one long table enabled all the guests to dine together. Our wooden tables and Bentwood chairs really set the tone for the rustic style feasting dinner served by the creative team at Spoonfed Catering.

We dressed the tables in a simple but eclectic fashion with our mix and match vintage plates, champagne glasses and embroidered napkins tied with ribbon. The tables were lined with scrim linen runners, with taupe taper candles and whimsically boxed florals cascading their way down the centre.

The festivities continued under the stars, it was a fun-filled night of dancing and laughs! You can’t help but have a little giggle yourself at the cake cutting and garter toss!

So much love to this amazing couple, we enjoyed sharing this truly special time in your lives!

“Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls” Kahlil Gibran

Within the magical leafy gardens of The House With No Walls in Eumundi, the scene was set for a whimsical, fun-filled wedding…this one being very close to my heart…Jade and Jai, you both know why…your home fills my heart with love and laughter, you have been the kindest of friends, and being part of your wedding day was a true pleasure.

Jai__Jade__8_640x427.jpgJai__Jade__16_387x580_352x527.jpgJai__Jade__20_387x580_352x527.jpg

Jade & Jai envisaged a vintage garden celebration with a boho twist – a very relaxed, but hugely fun day surrounded by friends and family. We began with a base colour palette of white, ivory and pale grey accented with soft apricot, dusty pink, pale lavender, coral and punchy peach, teamed with natural woods and greenery.

A sweet rustic letterbox was the perfect place for handwritten well wishes x

With the bridesmaids in soft peach gowns with lace overlay and holding small versions of the bride’s gorgeous bouquet, the flowergirls were a sweet contrast with their single white roses.

It was nearly time to say “I do”, when someone very special indeed decided to join the proceedings. He was there to assist with the exchange of rings, and also to provide some privacy for the first kiss, ah bless!

For a relaxed feel, several lounge areas were created across the garden, using a mix of French provincial and vintage furniture, combined with rustic elements such as wine barrels and trestle tables. Charming posies dotted the tables, with assorted tealights and candelabras.

The bride handmade some of the most amazingly and unique wedding favours we have ever seen – individual wine goblets for each guest, made from bottles. Guests used their glasses during the celebration and took them home afterwards as a treasured memento.

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

noosa-wedding-MD-001_640x427.jpgnoosa-wedding-MD-007_640x427.jpg

We knew from the very beginning that this was going to be such a gorgeous wedding. Madonna & Duncan had envisaged a sociable, fun celebration that was still effortlessly stylish, elegant and so very beautiful.

noosa-wedding-MD-006_580x434.jpgnoosa-wedding-MD-003_580x434.jpg

MXM Couture designed Madonna’s exquisite gown – a fitted lace masterpiece that drew gasps of admiration as Madonna walked down the aisle, at the gorgeous Casuarina Gardens.

The base colour palette of soft neutrals – ivory, cream, champagne & beige – was enhanced with soft pale pastels such as blush apricot, and a hint of greenery.

As guests meandered along the boardwalk to the ceremony, they were greeted by a rustic blackboard sign indicating that they had reached their destination. Next to the board was a small wooden box, filled with soft florals, and a basket of paper parasols.

Walking into Casuarina Gardens, guests strolled through jars of hanging florals which were placed off shepherds hooks leading up the aisle pathway.

A blackboard sign leaning up against one of the trees showed guests the way to the punch bar, for light refreshments on arrival. The punch bar was set up with non-alcoholic punch and waters to begin with, and after the ceremony with beers and champagne.

Our sweet rustic barrow was the perfect champagne holder!

After a very special ceremony with celebrant Jay Flood, the glowing newlyweds sat at our unique registry table – an antique school bench.

The stunning backdrop of Noosa Heads never fails to provide spectacular photography locations, and Calli B captured every moment to perfection.

After meandering down the boardwalk and upon arriving at Bistro C, the guests were immediately struck by the elegant and natural reception design.

The wedding cake was positioned near the dancefloor , complete with a Monique Lhuillier cake knife and slice. The tables were adorned with natural toned scrim runners, overlaid with French lace. White table numbers, candelabras, eclectic tea lights and vases of sweet florals in tones of ivory, peach and apricot.

noosa-wedding-MD-038_580x434.jpgnoosa-wedding-MD-039_580x434.jpgThe gift table included a rustic iron lantern as Madonna & Duncan’s wishing well, with a sweet stoneware heart, and hand lettered sign. At each place setting, we created a personalised feature from a white napkin, a Kraft paper menu and a white place card bundled together with twine. A special wedding favour of decadent fudge awaited the lucky guests!

We were just in love with Samantha & Nicholas – you can feel the unconditional bond between this bubbly couple, they were an absolute delight to work with and their wedding day was something truly unique! This gorgeous seaside wedding was bright, bold and beautiful and took place on the sublime Sunshine Coast.

This way for the “I Do’s…”

noosa-wedding-jc-019_640x427.jpg

Jemma & Cameron’s vision for their wedding day was simple – fun, relaxed and beautiful. From the bride’s breathtaking embellished gown to the quirky socks worn by the boys, all the elements came together for an intimate celebration of love, happiness and family.

noosa-wedding-jc-009_640x427.jpg

The historic Woombye chapel was the perfect ceremony venue, where they brought a playful twist to the traditional with suspended paper lanterns, and unexpected floral touches – stunning arrangements in silver urns, posies draped from windows and blooms suspended in an arch over the altar.

noosa-wedding-jc-018_640x479.jpgnoosa-wedding-jc-013_640x479.jpg

A cheerful colour palette of rustic brights: butter yellow, soft orange, deep rose, peach, dusty pink, mint green and pale blue.

noosa-wedding-jc-012_640x479.jpgnoosa-wedding-jc-015_640x427.jpg

The groom was ever so dashing in his smart suit, with whimsical touches like a bow tie and a cheerful boutonniere tied off with twine

noosa-wedding-jc-024_640x427.jpg

The suspended single blooms over the altar were just gorgeous

noosa-wedding-jc-034_640x427.jpg

Pretty in peach… the sweetheart necklines echoed the divine bodice of Jemma’s gown, and the lace overlay brought a soft vintage feel to the bridesmaids gowns.

The glowing newlyweds

The Garden Party reception was held at the gorgeous Noosa Waterfront Restaurant, the ideal spot for mingling, canapes and lawn games. The vintage feel continued with exposed light globes strung between the trees and the waterfront, and rustic hearts and crystals in unexpected places.

noosa-wedding-jc-054_640x427.jpg

The guests loved the quirky seating chart – a vintage window suspended from a tree!

Pops of colour abounded with luscious seasonal florals and bright lanterns.

noosa-wedding-jc-050_640x479.jpg

Instructions for the quirky ‘Polaroid Photobooth’ were positioned in a vintage typewriter, and guests were asked to peg their cute pics to the antique window frames.

noosa-wedding-jc-053_640x479.jpgnoosa-wedding-jc-055_640x479.jpg

The reception tables were adorned with burlap runners and over the top, very fine lace, for an elegant and unique textural design. The colourful blooms were piled into simple timber boxes and tied in perfectly with the sweet floral ‘lovebird’ stationery.
