The gorgeous Kirsty was the happy recipient of a very special prize from Maleny Manor, Mondo Floral Designs and Lovebird Weddings… a beautiful vintage High Tea Hen’s Party, held in a breathtaking spot, to celebrate her upcoming nuptials.
We placed two long timber tables together to create one beautiful design under the pavilion, along with our Provence couch piled with pretty cushions. For a charmingly classic yet fun feel our colour palette featured soft and dusty pinks, peaches, rose pink, butter, mauves and lavenders, mint greens and baby blues… teamed with beige linens and a touch of rustic timber used here and there…
“Ride Me, I’m Sugar Free” referred to a darling vintage bicycle (nicknamed Lucy) was on hand ready for joyrides and photos, she’s certainly not shy!
It’s not a High Tea without some glamorous sparkle… one stunning crystal chandelier shimmered overhead in the afternoon sunlight. French lace tablecloths contrasted beautifully against the rustic timber table, and complemented the white Hamptons chairs with deliberately mismatched floral cushions.
Stacks of vintage books bound with twine were placed alongside richly hued & divinely scented blooms, styled to look as if just picked from an English country garden. At each place setting were artfully mismatched vintage china plates, teacups and silverware, vintage linen napkins and hand printed name tags.
The mouthwatering menu of sweet treats was painted prettily upon wooden slats and sat on an easel. The ladies indulged upon handmade delicacies like macarons, Chelsea buns, leek & brie parcels, cucumber sandwiches and of course – bubbles with strawberries!
Congratulations again Kirsty, we hope you all had a splendid day! xo
