20130914-127_600x451.jpgA place very close to our hearts is the beautiful Peregian Beach, where pristine sands kiss the waves at the edge of the world… the perfect spot to love, live and dream. What an amazing inspiration for our Rustic Glamour styled shoot.

Letting the azure seas and sky remain the breathtaking feature, we chose a simple and elegant ceremony setting, with a dash of rustic beachiness. A handpainted “Sweet Love” sign pointed the way, and a driftwood arch draped with lace was a welcoming entrypoint. A jute runner & snowy blossoms led the way to our rustic ceremony canopy featuring pure white muslin panels. Even the ocean breezes came out to play, dancing merrily with the fabric and ribbons…

Our favourite registry table is our 100 year old school desk, which is just the sweetest loveseat for two! A little hint of the glamour to come, the desk was adorned with gold jars gleaming in the afternoon light, filled with scented white blooms.

Just steps from the sand is the quaint Peregian Village, where the stylish Pitchfork Restaurant sits on the edge of the village green. Our intimate wedding reception was set on their lovely alfresco terrace, where we created a divine outside ‘room’ with clean whites, gentle pastels and warm timbers with decadent splashes of gold and champagne.

The classic vintage style of Pitchfork paired beautifully with our rustic garden party vibe… from the quirky bicycle stools to the mason jar lights…

Perfection is in the details – lace strips fluttering softly creating a very special ambience, organic wooden elements, handpainted gold vessels and flawless white blooms.

Our stunning French vintage chandelier was the statement lighting piece, looking magnificent by day, and spectacular by night, along with the glow of candlelight. The handwoven carpet brought rich colours and softness to the dining area.

20130914-047_451x600.jpgOur dark timber Bentwood chairs echoed the deep timber of the long table, and contrasted well with the natural linen runner. Hand-carved timber pieces held slim vases of florals, and the rustic, organic feel continued into the timber table numbers, and hand-written Kraft paper nametags and menus.

Lush greens and gold brought a decadent feel to the table, with golden pears and trailing ivy.

Pitchfork has long been a Lovebirds fave, and you can see why… outstanding cuisine, made with so much love and care. This superb three course wedding feast was served with beautifully matched wines.

The pièce de résistance: a gorgeous four tiered wedding cake in ivory ruffles, pale pink swirls and an incredible glimmering gold band, adorned with simple white florals and displayed on a rustic log slice. We adored creating this shoot with some of our favourite Sunshine Coast vendors – thank you! xo
