And so unfolds the wedding of Sarah & Rikki, our Lovebirds of 2016, and none other than Lovebird Weddings very own General Manager. It was a day full of laughs and smiles, warmth and grace, the maori haka, and the day they said “I-do”. To view the amazing film from this shoot, please click here.

As a wedding stylist, beautiful styling and flowers was of course going to form a major part of the look of this wedding. There were a few pieces created especially for the couple to personalise their day.

Table runners were hand-scripted from the love letters that we wrote to each other when they first met, they chose bread boards to write their menus on and bottles to create their seating plan to reflect their mutual passion for cooking and entertaining, the bride hand-scripted timber place tags, they wanted a relaxed feel for speeches so chose a cosy lounge setting near the fireplace instead of a lectern.

Bride wore a gold couture dress and bridesmaids all wore different styles and colours (they chose their own gowns) and the groom and groomsmen all wore different shades of charcoal and grey suits. They chose to do their first dance at sunset on a jetty under fairy lights with an acoustic guitarist. Later in the evening, their ceremony pavilion turned into a whiskey and cigar bar for the boys.

Rather than provide  bonbonniere, the couple made a donation to Make-A-Wish Australia.
